John James Audubon Lecture
Coming up:Joel Oppenheimer will deliver a FREE lecture on John James Audubon. Audubon is considered to be America's great 19th Century naturalist particularly noted for his depiction of birds of North America. Mr. Oppenheimer has worked as a professional Conservator of works on paper for the past 30 years and has specialized in the collection and sale of Audubon lithographs. He successfully launched his own conservation laboratory and The Natural History Art Gallery in The Wrigley Building, Chicago, and in Charleston, South Carolina. They offer a stunning array of natural history art from the seventeenth to nineteenth centuries, as well as fine art framing, and complete conservation and restoration services. As a natural history art gallery, Oppenheimer is passionate about the work, offering collectors rare artworks by John James Audubon, Pierre-Joseph Redoute, Dr. Robert Thornton, John Gould, Basilius Besler, and many others.
